Tag Clouds

| | Comments (4)

As you may or may not see - I've chucked the CSS driven list menu for something more WEB2.0 - a category tag cloud. As obtained from : socklabs

So far so good - was a bit of a fiddle to get it working since the documentation is a bit thin and spread around.

The main thing I still want to do is incorporate my normal static page links - not sure if they will blend in with the cloud as they can get lost, but I also don't really want to think about extra menus along with the cloud.

Time for the thinking hat on.

So far it's looking OK, need to tweak the CSS a tad, since the fonts are overlapping, that's due to the line-height properties somewhere in the soup that's called MT's CSS definitions.

Also, to separate the tags, I've added • inbetween them - otherwise they tend to run together.

Once I'm happy with it all, I'll write up a tutorial so everyone else can have a go.

Keep me posted about that tutorial you plan on writing. I'd love to put together some user created docs.

Will do!

I can't get cloudnine to render the css properly. I get the following:

font-size: 0;color: #;,

The only tags that are weight and id, any solution for this problem?

Thanks.

Hi Dean,
Email me privately on where you are getting stuck - and I will ammend Adding a Tag Cloud to MT3.2 to better suit.
